Young Leaders Day 2012

On Monday a group of students from the Senior School took part in the Wellington National Young Leader's Day (NYLD) organised by the Halogen Foundation. 

 

NYLD is an annual event, that aims to develop student leadership and be both inspirational and practical. Since 2001 over 80,000 students have attended throughout New Zealand.

 

The Objectives of NYLD are:

Empowerment

Positivity

Inspiration

Connection

Motivation

Education

 

On the day, students listened to a wide variety of speakers from different ages, backgrounds, skills, abilities and disabilities. 

 

Students who attended had a fantastic time and came back to school brimming with enthusiasm and inspiration about their potential to be leaders and their ability make a difference in the world.
