What makes a quality Recount?

This term we are study Recount Writing  in Literacy. Today we had a discussion around "What makes a quality recount?". We formed groups to brainstorm what we thought were the essential components of a recount.

We then discussed our ideas together to develop a set of criteria to follow when writing in the recount genre:

Hi room 15! I think your ideas about what makes a quality recount are really interesting. In news writing the order of paragraphs is determined by putting the most newsworthy and interesting facts at the top of the story - not necessarily the things that happened first. And of course in fiction writing, anything goes - you can write the story in any order - looking back or even into the future.
Good luck with your writing!
